Arthur M. Thomsen, age 85, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Arthur was born March 20, 1927 in Missouri Valley, Iowa to Christian Hansen and Jennie Laura (Larsen) Thomsen. Arthur graduated from the Missouri Valley High School in 1945. He served in the Navy during WW II. He was married to Dorothy L. Andersen, June 8, 1953 in Missouri Valley. Arthur worked for Vickers in Omaha for many years and later for Control Data retiring in 1988. He enjoyed leather tooling and woodworking. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, brother; Jeppe Thomsen, sisters; Ruby Wehrli and Dorothy Freymuller and Evelyn L. Thomsen. Survivors include his wife: Dorothy L. Thomsen; daughters: Fayne Sall and husband Dwight; Turri Colglazier and husband Kane; son: Chris Arthur Thomsen and fiancée Nancy Bilek all of Missouri Valley, Iowa; son: Sean Thomsen and wife Kathy of Council Bluffs, Iowa; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Military Honors will conducted by the Julius F. Muller American Legion Post #337 of Missouri Valley, Iowa. The family would like to invite everyone to join them for a time of refreshments after the memorial service. In Loving Memory Of Arthur M.
