Darrel D. Bertelsen age 86 of Missouri Valley passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at his home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hennessey Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Neola with burial in the Boomer Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the church. Survivors include his children: Ellis Dean Bertelsen and wife JoAnn of Smithville, Missouri; John Robert Bertelsen of Omaha, Nebraska, Linda Karline of Missouri Valley, Iowa; grandchildren: Tracy Bertelsen, Carie McCain and husband Dave, Jennifer Jo Bertelsen, Ellis Dale Robinson, Charles Robinson; six great grandchildren.
