David A. Kleveter

David A. Kleveter, age 80, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Creighton Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. David graduated high school from Creighton Prep in Omaha, Nebraska. After serving two years in the Navy, David graduated college from Iowa State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. David was married to Sherry Smith, November 21, 1959 in Ames, Iowa. He was employed as a Structural Engineer for 36 years. During that time he became a Vice President and received the Pathfinders Award for Excellence. David enjoyed 19 Canadian fishing trips, golfing, tennis, carpentry and several years of riding his motorcycle. David is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Florence (Uphus) Kleveter. David is survived by his wife Sherry D. Kleveter of Missouri Valley, Iowa; children, Debra Goudlock and husband Dave, Michael Kleveter and wife Barb, Lori Sanchez, Cathy Quandahl and husband John, Jim Kleveter and wife Sue all of Omaha, Nebraska; sister Carol Murphy of Scottsdale, Arizona; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one niece, and one nephew. A Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Missouri Valley with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Military Honors will be conducted by the Julius F. Muller American Legion Post #337 of Missouri Valley. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the church immediately following the service at the church. All donations in David’s name can be made to Open Door Mission, College of Engineering at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa or St. Patrick’s Church. In Loving Memory Of David A.
