Forrest Dean Gochenour SR.

Forrest Dean Gochenour SR. age 67 of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away Sunday April 28, 2013. Forrest was born on July 31, 1945 to Everett and Louise (Millett) Gochenour in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He married Linda (Klement) on December 17, 1962 and they celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2012. Linda and Forrest lived in the Missouri Valley area their entire lives. Forrest worked for Paxton Mitchell Company as a Snooper Product Manager for 41 years. He also worked with his father, Everett, brother, Rex and Ed Masske as a part of the Gochenour Auctioneering team for over 40 years. He loved spending time with his family and friends and after his retirement, he especially enjoyed spending the last few winters in Texas with his wife Linda and devoted friends Bucky and Sandy Collier. Forrest also enjoyed the simple things; a good cup of coffee, a good book, listening to country music, and an ice cold beer. He loved to be outside hunting, fishing, working in the yard, and sitting on the deck. Forrest was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Louise; father-in-law, Harry Klement; grandson, Brandon Hoersch; brother, Justin Gochenour; brothers-in-law Denny Hansen, and Robert Brown. Survivors include his wife, Linda of Missouri Valley, Iowa; mother-in-law, Deloris Klement, sons:, Forrest “Frosty” (Rene) Gochenour JR. of Missouri Valley, Iowa; Richard (Christi) Gochenour of Missouri Valley, Iowa; daughters: Cindy (Roy) Haynes of Missouri Valley, Iowa; Lisa Crocker of Logan, Iowa; grandchildren, Meagan, Ryan, Samantha, Danielle, and Hannah Gochenour, Ariana Hoersch, Nathan, Natalie, Nick and Olivia Haynes all of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Wyatt Crocker of Logan, Nathan, one great grandchild Braydin Hoersch of Missouri Valle, Iowa, sisters, Marcita Brown of Jacksonville, Florida, Bonnie Cloud of Destin, Florida, Susan Hansen of Missouri ,Valley, Iowa, brothers; Sam (Ailene) Gochenour, of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota, Everett (Colleen) Gochenour, of Council Bluffs ,Iowa, Rex (Debbie) Gochenour, of Missouri Valley, Iowa sister-in-law Vickie Gochenour of Fenton, Iowa 3 step grandchildren Amanda, Megan and Dylon Crocker of Colorado; many nieces and nephews; beloved pets, Mavie, Mollie and Maggie. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday with visitation with the family to follow until 8:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Missouri Valley. In Loving Memory Of Forrest D.
