Gladys M. Boysen, 84, passed away August 4 2015, peacefully at her home after a long battle with congestive heart failure. . She was born in Little Sioux, IA. – daughter of Ray Ruffcorn and Ruth ( Cooper ) . She graduated from Little Sioux High School in 1950 and married Billie Boysen that fall. She was survived in death by; daughter, Kimberly Traylor; son, Joseph Boysen (Julie); son, Thaddeus Boysen; son, Walter Boysen; son, Edward Boysen (Renee); son, Thomas Boysen (Angie); half-sister, Kathy Buick; grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by; husband, Billie Boysen; brother, Russ Ruffcorn; brother, Junior Ruffcorn; sister, Mary Peterson; daughter Christine Boysen. Gladys was a retired homemaker and loving mother. Her favorite pastime was bowling which she enjoyed as often as twice a week and continued until the age of 77. She was inducted into the Iowa Bowlers Association’s Hall of Fame in 2008 for a long and successful career. She loved collecting owls of all kinds and has a very impressive assortment of ceramic statues and figurines. Visitation is to be held at the Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley on Sunday evening between 4 and 6 pm on August 9th. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 10th at 10am. Reverend Brad Westercamp will officiate the services. Burial at Solider Valley in Pisgah, Ia. Lunch to be served at the Grace Alliance Church following the burial.
