Helen W. Hatcher

HELEN W. (WONDRASEK) HATCHER, age 91, of Omaha, Nebraska formerly of Missouri Valley passed away on Thursday March 10, 2011 at Montclair Nursing Home in Omaha, Nebraska. Helen was born July 15, 1919 in Missouri Valley, Iowa to Stephen and Josephine (Skreko) Wondrasek. Helen graduated from the Missouri Valley High School and then she married Ward Hatcher. Helen worked for Mutual of Omaha for over 25 years. Ward passed away January 21, 1919. Helen belonged to many organizations and churches, Mary our Queen of Omaha, Catholic Daughters, VFW Auxilliary (Benson) 2503, she also loved traveling, camping and knitting. Survivors include her daughter: Joan Kolc and husband Frank of Omaha, Nebraska; sons: Larry Hatcher and wife Maria of Lexington, South Carolina; Dayle F. Hatcher and wife Terry of Phoenix, Arizona; brother: Vincent Wondrasek of Ft. Calhoun, Nebraska; twelve grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Ward Hatcher, three sisters and one brother. A Wake Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday with family visitation to follow until 7:00 p.m. at St. Patrick”s Catholic Church in Missouri Valley, Iowa. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the church following the committal service.
