Jeromy J. Hardison

Jeromy John Hardison was born on January 8, 1977 in Sioux City, IA, the son of John and Jody (Murray) Hardison and passed away unexpectedly at age 39 on Saturday, June 4th 2016 in Council Bluffs, IA. Jeromy graduated from high school in Missouri Valley in 1995. He then attended college at Buena Vista and Iowa Western. He worked for H&M Trucking as Logistics Manager for 16 years and previously for Fleming Foods as a Specialty Food Representative. He met the love of his life in 2012 and married Hilary Martens on September 7, 2013, and moved to an acreage in Underwood, IA, where he loved doing outdoor projects, landscaping, woodworking and particularly his late Uncle’s 8N tractor. Growing up, he was very active in baseball and golf (3 hole-in-ones!). He was an avid fan of Fantasy Football and the Arizona Cardinals. Jeromy loved all kids and especially the way they dog-piled on him at every family gathering. He and Hilary were blessed to have little Evan as a foster child for 3 months. Jeromy also enjoyed the company of their “kids”– four dogs: Morgan, Lucy, Niko and Athena. He is survived by his wife Hilary, his parents John and Jody of Missouri Valley, IA, one sister: Jennifer (Aaron) Brunson their three children: Kallie and twins Oliver and Mara. In-laws: Jeff (Sherrie) Martens, Kolene Hamblin Kohll; Sister-in-laws: Heili (Kyle) Martens their five children, Kiya, Kaelyr, Karsyn, and twins Kynzlee and Kyzer; Hayley (Brian) Bruegman; Ashley (Tyler) Peters daughter Iva; Shelbie (Eric) children Caden and Liam; Grandma Alberta Maher and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by grandparents Marvin and Joyce Murray, Ralph Maher, Tink (Maribeth) Hardison, Uncle David Maher. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa.
