Larry Crispin age 77 of Honey Creek, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at his home. Larry was born on August 26, 1939 to Leonard and Bernice (Vallier) Crispin in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1958. Larry married Saundra Drustrup on October 23, 1960. He farmed in the Missouri Valley area and during the early years worked during the winter at Archer Oil. After retiring from farming, he worked for Farm Service Coop. Larry enjoyed his grandkids, and attending their school and sporting events, and fishing.
Larry is preceded in death by his son Terry Crispin, Father Leonard Crispin, Mother Bernice Crispin, and brother Roger Crispin.
Survivors include his wife Saundra of Missouri Valley, Iowa, son Greg Crispin of Littleton, Colorado, daughter Ginger (Dave) Geise of Logan, Iowa, grandchildren: Sheila Crispin of Littleton, Colorado, Bailey Geise (Cody Hill) of Omaha, Nebraska, Bo Geise of Logan, Iowa, Chase Crispin of Blair, Nebraska; brother Dennis Crispin and wife Connie of Missouri Valley, Iowa.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa.

I was so sad to hear about Larry…Larry was quite the character…His laugh was infectious…His love for his family was so evident…I am sure of all the years of his grandson Bo’s sports, I betcha he never missed one event. You could walk into the gym and just listen…sure enough you could hear his laughter or his ‘telling the ref how the call should have gone!” voice! He always took the time to chat with me….He was always the one to give you a smack on the back when he saw you!! I wish I would have found out about the services sooner…He deserved to have a room, a hall, a gymnasium,an auditorium, or even a place as large as the Century Link Center full of people to show up in his honor ….he would have loved to know how much his family is loved by so many of us…He was a character….But a character we all loved…..Rest in Peace Larry and many many good thoughts are being sent to you and your amazing family Ginger….
