Marybelle M. Scott

Marybelle Marie Scott age, 93 of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015 at Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Marybelle was born November 16, 1921 in Elm Creek, NE to Christopher and Ana Katrina (Leissler) Jenkins. Marybelle graduated from Ravenna Nebraska High School. She helped her husband, “Scotty”, in their blacksmith business in addition to being a devoted mother and housewife always willing to give tender care to anyone in need including bottle feeding the occasional runt pig. Marybelle was a member of the Missouri Valley Christian Church being baptized into Christ on April 26, 1970. Marybelle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dellie J. Scott; brothers: Thomas and George Jenkins, sisters: Dorothy Fox and Elizabeth Williams. She is survived by her daughter: Sharon Boehler and husband Gary of Missouri Valley, Iowa, granddaughters: Kim Boehler of Logan, Iowa, Kathy Lewis and husband Tom of Cherokee, Iowa, grandson: Duane Boehler of Missouri Valley, Iowa, great granddaughters: Kyrah Whipple and husband Russell of Salt Lake City, Utah, Amanda Lewis and Hannah Lewis both of Cherokee, Iowa. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa.
