Vickie L. Nielsen, age 62, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Westmont Care Center in Logan, Iowa. Vickie was born May 1, 1951 to Marvin and Edith (Swanger) Owen in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Vickie graduated from Missouri Valley High School and worked as a secretary for the Redi Mix Plant in Missouri Valley, Iowa. She enjoyed reading, crafts and visiting with people. She especially loved her grandson Henry. Vickie was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her children: Kayle Nielsen and wife Maria of Omaha, Nebraska; grandson: Henry; brothers: Marv Owen and wife Gem of Woodbine, Iowa; Bill Owen of Texas; Mel Owen of Oklahoma.
