William L. Dooley

William Dooley, age 82, of Missouri Valley, Iowa, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. William was born July 19, 1933 in Iowa City, Iowa to Clement and Marguerite (Wood) Dooley. William graduated from Ottumwa High School in Ottumwa, Iowa. He was an Ordained Minister and he did many weddings and baptism’s, he enjoyed doing ministries and yard work. William Dooley may have sometimes been stubborn but he had a heart of gold. He also had a way with God and served God in prayer and teaching others. He also would not except no as an answer. He wanted others to have a spiritual life and have peace. He was a very tuff person. William at sometimes would be a hard person to understand but he… had a meaning and that’s a certain love for life. William never really knew his real parents but was adopted. He is a Man who was proud to serve for our Country and in his last days a Quilt was made in honor of his military service. It was not a lot but he shed tears when he got it and gave him peace. He loved his family and always had something nice to say to everyone. William is preceded in death by his parents, brother: Loren Dooley, daughter: Bonnie Dooley. Survivors include his wife: Diana Dooley of Missouri Valley, Iowa, sons: Anthony Beller and wife Carrie of Carson, Iowa, Timothy Beller and wife Alyssa of Omaha, Nebraska, Craig Dooley of Des Moines, Iowa, Bill A. Dooley and wife Jenny of Fairfield, Iowa daughter: Beth Whennen and husband Carl of Ottumwa, Iowa, thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at Hennessey Funeral Home Missouri Valley, Iowa. Military Honors will be conducted by VFW Post 6256 and O”Hara Seeley Post.
