Arline L. Murphy of Omaha, Nebraska, died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at the Brookestone Village in Omaha. Arline was born on August 27, 1916 in Woodbine, Iowa to Fred and Grace (Henderson) Hiller. She attended school at Woodbine. Arline married Paul Murphy on March 30, 1940. Arline and her husband Paul owned and operated the Ames Bar and Grill in Omaha. Arline retired from the First National Bank of Omaha after 45 plus years. She belonged to the First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul and two brothers, Paul Hiller and Perry Hiller. Survivors include her sister Jean Greer of Missouri Valley; nieces, Georgia Johnson of Missouri Valley, Cheryl Fouts of Gahanna, Ohio, Cecile Hiller of Council Bluffs, Patricia Matheson of Council Bluffs; sister-in-law Doris Sauvain of Woodbine; brother-in-law Dale Murphy of Woodbine and special friends Paula & Ken Shriver of Omaha, Sonja DeLuca and Gary Sherrod of Malvern, Iowa; and great nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa.
