Betty Ione Rodasky

Betty Ione Rodasky age 82 passed away May 22, 2024, at her home in Missouri Valley with her loved ones at her side.

Betty was born to Carl and Sarah (Flarety) Tiffey on August 6, 1941, in Logan, Iowa.

Betty attended school in Logan. She had two sons, Jim and John. She married Don Rodasky on April 9, 1971, and to this union they had two children, Sheri Ann and Eric, Don brought five children, Donnie, Larry, Kathy, Linda and Roger to this union.

Betty was a foster parent to 21 children over a span of 28 years. She babysat her grandchildren and other children for many years. She also was a Den Mother for several years. She worked at Good Shepard Nursing Home in Blair, NE as a Laundry Aide. Betty enjoyed getting out of the house and going for rides, getting ice cream, going to garage sales, and especially the casino.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Sarah Tiffey, siblings; Veleta, Bert, Darlene, Larry, Sonny and Viola, her son Jim Tiffey, and nieces and nephew.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 53 years, Donald. Her daughter in law Jan Tiffey, son John Tiffey, daughter Sheri Ann (Jeremy) Meyer, son Eric, stepchildren; Donnie Rodasky, Larry (Norma) Rodasky, Kathy (Kyle) Preston, Linda Cooling, Roger (Chelcie Jo) Rodasky, 22 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A special Thank You goes out to Shannon, Amanda, Stephanie, Amber, and Chaplin Bob of Generations Hospice. Your hospitality did not go unnoticed. You delivered unmeasurable amounts of genuine love, care and compassion to Betty and our family. We cannot put into words how grateful we truly are to have had you with us during this time.

Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00am-3:00pm Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Rand Center in Missouri Valley, Iowa.
