Betty Jean Fountain age 81, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Betty was born August 22, 1932 in Omaha, Nebraska to Irene (Hansen) Hindman. Betty married Arthur Art Fountain June 22, 1952 in Missouri Valley, Iowa. She loved all animals, especially her cats, crocheting, flowers, feeding birds, sewing, babysitting and family holiday gatherings. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, sister Shirley Mae Beers, step-father; Forest Dooley. Survivors include her husband: Art of Missouri Valley, Iowa, daughters: Marsha Fern McCord of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Sandra Jean Neill and Husband Donald of Missouri Valley, Iowa, son: Terry George Fountain and wife Susan of Missouri Valley, Iowa. five grandchildren: Keith Overman of Missouri Valley, Iowa; Zach Fountain of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Robert McCord of Primm Springs, Tennessee, Willie McCord of Primm Springs, Tennessee, J.P. McCord of McEwen; Tennessee; three great grandchildren, sister: Donabel Adams of Missouri Valley, Iowa, brother: Kenneth L Dooley and wife Linda of Missouri Valley, Iowa Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship to the Eagles Club after the committal service.
