Bubby Kobes

Gone too Soon…..

Bubby Dale Kobes age 30, loving husband, father, son, brother of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018. Bubby was born February 21, 1988 in Denison, Iowa to Keith and Cindy (Harvey) Kobes. Bubby was an unconditional friend that was only a phone call away, if you needed help moving, fixing something or just to talk, or to have a beer in the middle of the night, he was your guy. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, kayaking really anything as long as it involved good friends. Everyone knew his name and you could always hear him coming. He enjoyed grilling steaks (but only Ribeye’s). Bubby loved to hang out in the shop, always with the garage door open playing music so people would know he was in there, and when he came inside it was snuggles on the couch with Kaleb and Kenzie, doing family movie nights. He was the owner of Kobes Handyman Services and worked in Omaha, Nebraska with Brian Williams and Jason Doiel. He always got into trouble and would send Kayla “I’m Sorry” flowers. Minnie Fisher probably knew his bank card by heart. Bubby loved coaching soccer and his dogs they were his kids especially Duke. He was also quite the momma’s boy and no matter what, his sisters never told him no, nor did his brothers.

Preceded in death by grandparents: Lyonel Lee and Mary “Nana” Harvey, Terry Lee Kobes, Janice Horst, Lon Whelan, brother Austin Kobes, and cousin Brannon Harvey.

Bubby is survived by his wife Kayla Marie Kobes, children: Kenzie Marie Kobes and Kaleb Michael Allmon all of Missouri Valley, Iowa, parents: Keith and Cindy Kobes of Missouri Valley, Iowa, siblings: Amber Doiel and husband Jason, Amy Conant and Bryce, Aaron Kobes and Ashley all of Missouri Valley, Iowa, many nieces and nephews.

AS I SIT IN HEAVEN

As I sit heaven
And watch you everyday
I try to let you know with signs
I never went away
I hear you when you’re laughing
And watch you as you sleep
I even place my arms around you
To calm you as you weep
I see you wish the days away
Begging to have me home
So I try to send you signs
So you know you are not alone
Don’t feel guilty that you have
Life that was denied to me
Heaven is truly beautiful
Just you wait and see
So live your life, laugh again
Enjoy yourself, be free
Then I know with every breath you take
you’ll be taking one for me…

So, so sorry for your loss. I know there are no words that will take away the pain of your loss. Hold your kids close to you and lean on each other for the strength you will need for the days ahead. Cherish the memories you had together and know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Love you all!!

We don’t know you, we didn’t know your son. We met you tonight at the Edge. Jerry talked to Keith for a longtime outside. There truly is a reason that our car was parked right next to where you were standing. We left you tonight and prayed for you and your family on our way back home. Perfect strangers that God united for a brief moment in a parking lot. God knew that you needed to talk, that you needed to talk about your son. God provides. Jerry was very touched to have met you. We wish you and your family to find peace and love in the healing arms of Jesus.

It’s been a little over three months, you’ve been gone.I spent the past the Sunday watching our daughters play and enjoy the innocence of childhood. Its hard to be around little Kenzie and not be overwhelmed with the thought of your memories, she is difinately a carbon image of you.I hope deep down Kenzie and Kennedy, one day will share the bond we had.I remember that being a long conversation the night,I told you I as going to be a dad.I was scared as hell and you could see it.But you were able to help me see through the what if’s and concetrate on the positive side of what was to come. You told me what to expect in the months before her arrival, beings you already went through it with Kenzie. You were the reason I didn’t have any fear or nervousness after her arrival. You told me “If I can do you this you can too..You going to be a great father, and it’s going to be awesome watching our girls grow up together.”Your words Gave me confidence.Love and miss ya Lil Bro
