Carol L. Kirk age 74, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away Monday, May 21, 2012. Carol was born May 4, 1938, to W.W. Jack Kistler and Ruby (Scebold) Kistler in Loveland, Iowa. She lived in Loveland, Iowa until 1952 when her family moved to Missouri Valley. She graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1956. Carol married Huck E. Kirk September 21, 1956 in Missouri Valley. Carol had her own day care for 25 years. She was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church in Missouri Valley, Eagles Club and was an active member of the ASPCA (animal rescue). Carol is preceded in death by her husband: Huck; parents: Jack and Ruby Kistler; son: Bobby (Fuzzy) Kirk; and grandson: Charlie Kirk. Carol is survived by her daughter: Barbara Jean Adler and husband Douglas of Omaha, Nebraska; son: Brian Jay Kirk and wife Angie of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Bennett James Kirk of La Platte, Nebraska; grandchildren: Jacob Kirk of Logan, Iowa; Emma and Sophie Kirk of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Cassidy Kirk of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and great-grandson: Jackson Kirk of Maryville, Tennessee. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the Eagles Club after the committal service. Memorials may be directed to the Harrison County Humane Society.
