Cathi Vallier, born on August 26, 1962, in Fremont, NE, to Dale Vallier and Carol Heine-Vallier, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength that touched everyone who knew her.
Cathi was the proud and devoted mother of her son, Eric Johnson, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. Becoming a mother was the happiest day of her life, fulfilling her in a way that nothing else could. Her love for children extended beyond her own, as she was a doting aunt to her two nieces and a cherished figure in the lives of her great-nieces. Cathi’s heart was always full when surrounded by family, and she had a special way of bringing smiles to the faces of those she loved.
Her passion for animals guided her career as a Veterinary Technician, a role she embraced wholeheartedly. Cathi found true fulfillment in caring for animals, and her dedication to their well-being was evident in every aspect of her work. Her love for animals began in childhood, where she spent countless hours playing with the family cat, nurturing a bond that would shape her future.
Cathi was not only known for her gentle spirit but also for her incredible strength and independence. After undergoing open-heart surgery, she faced the challenges of recovery with resilience and determination.
Though her health forced her away from her beloved work as a Vet Tech, she continued to lead an active life, never allowing her circumstances to define her. Cathi lived on her own terms, valuing her independence and facing each day with courage and grace. Even as her health declined, Cathi’s spirit remained unyielding. She never complained, never asked for help, and continued to be the loving, selfless person her family and friends admired so deeply. Her strength was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Cathi will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will be cherished in our hearts forever, and her legacy of love and compassion will live on in the lives of those she touched.
Remaining to cherish Cathi’s memory are Son, Eric Johnson; Mother, Carol Brown; Sister, Vikki Reed; Nieces, Aja Reed-O’Brien, Jade Reed; Great Nieces & Nephews, Cole Whalen, Lily Allen, Ruth O’Brien, Chloe Allen, Henry O’Brien, Otis O’Brien, Georgia Sigafosse, Clementine O’Brien, and Franklin O’Brien.
