Char Les A. Bugenhagen

Char Les Ann Bugenhagen, age 74, of Modale, Iowa, passed away on August 6, 2018 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Char Les was born on February 10, 1944 in Hollywood, California, the daughter of Charles McDunn and Opal (Brink) McDunn Buter. She grew up in rural Dunlap and graduated from high school in 1962. She went to Beauty School in Sioux City, Iowa and worked as a hair dresser for 45 years.

Char Les and Don Bugenhagen were united in marriage on December 31, 1983. Char Les and Don moved to California in 1988 and lived there until returning to Harrison County in 2009. Then, they made their home in Modale, Iowa.

Char Les was auxiliary president of the Eagles Club in its early history. She loved reading novels and also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Char Les is preceded in death by her mother Opal, father Charles, and step father Tony.

Survivors include her husband, Don, son: Shad Stream, siblings: David (Mick) of Mo. Valley, Iowa, Robert (Nancy) McDunn of Omaha, Nebraska, Cheryl (Frank) Salter of Mo. Valley, Iowa, Pat (Donna) McDunn, Mary Chambers (Mark) of Mo. Valley, Iowa, Randy McDunn of Modale, Iowa, many nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Missouri Valley Eagles Club.
