Corrine R. Unruh

Corrine. R. (Fischer) Unruh, age 97, of Mondamin, Iowa, passed away on February 11, 2017 in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Corrine was born on August 19, 1919 to William and Rose (Seiker) Fischer in Elmwood, Nebraska. Corrine graduated from Elmwood High school in 1937. She married James Unruh on January 14, 1947 in Elmwood, Nebraska. James and Corrine owned and operated the Mondamin Savings Bank for 47 years. James passed away in 1978. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, traveling, and her grandchildren.

Corrine is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers.

Survivors include her children: Joann Dwork (Paul) of Camarillo, California, James Unruh of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, grandchildren: Joshua Dwork and Victoria, Jeremy Dwork and Ayme, Matthew Dwork, Benjamin Dwork, Melissa Selk and Brett, Mark Unruh and Jennifer, great grandchildren: Evie Dwork Fleming, Hudson Selk, and Lola Unruh.

A Rosary will be said on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa.

Immediately following the Mass of Christian Burial, the family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at Holy Family Catholic Church.
