Dennis Lee Axtell, age 74, of Jackson, Mississippi passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019. Dennis was born July 23, 1945 in Omaha, Nebraska to Willard and Aggie Lou (Hermes) Axtell. Dennis grew up near Council Bluffs, Iowa, and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and then worked as a truck driver until his retirement. Dennis is preceded in death by his father and brother, Kirby.
Survivors include his daughter Emily Axtell; his mother, Aggie Lou Blaziek of Missouri Valley, Iowa; sister, Gerry Sue Rinella of Missouri Valley, Iowa; brother, Larry Axtell of Katy, Texas; sister-in-law, Louella Axtell of Butte, Montana and cousins, nieces and nephews.
Also being remembered is Dennis’ Grandmother Lucile Marjorie Nuzum Hermes.
A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2019 at the Christian Church in Missouri Valley, Iowa.
The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the Christian Church Fellowship Hall following the memorial service at the church.
