Dixie Mae Sell, age 78, of Missouri Valley, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2011 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Dixie was born August 31, 1932 in Magnolia, Iowa to George Edgar (Eddie) Donnelson and Teresa May (Layton) Donnelson. Dixie worked for the West Harrison Schools as a bus driver for twenty years, and graduated from Modale School, she loved garage sales, thrift stores, and animals. Survivors include her children: Richard Sell and wife Lynette of Modale, Iowa, James Sell and wife Judy of Joice, Iowa, Terry Sell and wife Mona of Neola, Iowa, Randy Sell of Honey Creek, Iowa, Shari McFerrin and husband Edward (Sonny) of Modale, Iowa, Kristi Sell and significant other Jim Olinger of Modale, Iowa, Lori Walker and husband Mike of Omaha, Nebraska, Jason Sell and wife Denise of Council Bluffs, Iowa; thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, brother; Lyle Donnelson and wife Virginia of Bellevue, Iowa many special friends and Buddy the cat. Preceded in death by; parents, infant sister Donna, and brothers; Walter and Larry. Visitation will be held Friday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home. Family would like to invite everyone to the Methodist Fellowship Hall in Modale after the committal service to share special memories together, cake and coffee will be served.
