Don Barnhart

Donald D. Barnhart age, 83 of Omaha, Nebraska passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Don was born October 22, 1931 in Logan, Iowa to Miles Glen and Kathryn Dorthea (Siebels) Barnhart. He graduated from the Magnolia High School. Due to his father’s ill health the boys started farming at a young age. Don was a farmer and a soil conservationist for Harrison County. As a soil conservationist, Don made many terraces and always kept the weeds down between the fence rows. Don also raised cattle and hogs while farming. Don attended First Lutheran Church in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Don is preceded in death by his father Miles Glen Barnhart and mother Kathryn Dorthea Siebels Barnhart as well as his brother Miles James Barnhart. Survivors include his wife Alice Faye Barnhart and daughters: Sherry Frederes and husband Lowell, Terri Heady; grandchildren: Nick Meeker, Robert Frederes, Megan Frederes, David Frederes; great grandchildren: Ethan, Maiya, Clara and Riley Meeker. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Missouri Valley, Iowa. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at First Lutheran Church after the committal service. In Loving Memory Of Donald D.
