Elizabeth “Beth” Ann Lucy, 38, of Missouri Valley, Iowa, passed away on December 3, 2024.

Beth was born on December 31, 1985, in Omaha, NE, to Susan K. (Elliott) Hoffman and Daniel E. Hoffman. She grew up and lived the majority of her life in Missouri Valley, IA.

Beth and Eric Dean became parents to their son, Grant Dean, now 13, and daughter, Clair Dean, now 11.

Beth married Ryan Lucy on January 19, 2019. Together, they shared a love of movies, trips to Las Vegas, attending Clair and Grant’s school events, and spending time with Ryan’s adult children, Mason and Hannah.

Beth deeply cherished watching her children grow and participate in their school and sports activities. She enjoyed shopping for bargains with her mom and friends and visiting with her best friend, Kerri. Always there for her loved ones, Beth’s passion for service grew during her time as a CNA, caring for others. Her family is thankful for the support from her employer, Western Marketing, as they stood by her side throughout her two-year battle with cancer.

Beth is survived by her husband, Ryan Lucy; children, Grant and Clair Dean; parents, Susan and Daniel Hoffman; brothers, Brian (Kittie) and Jacob (Nikki); grandmother, Patricia Hoffman; nieces, Lyssa, Jerzey, Arianna, Jaxyn, and Kadence; stepchildren, Mason and Hannah; best friend, Kerri Helwig; as well as many aunts, uncles, extended family, friends, and coworkers.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James Hoffman, Patricia Elliott, and Donald Elliott.
