Elizabeth R. Rodewald

Elizabeth Renee Rodewald age 53, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 peacefully at her home. Elizabeth was born December 2, 1967 in Onawa, Iowa to Kenneth Dean and Carol Lee (Cross) Rodewald. She graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1986 and attended IWCC, graduating with a degree in Dental Assisting. Elizabeth worked as an oral surgery assistant for several years and was also a successful salesperson for various companies. She loved talking with people and making new friends. She was adventurous, enjoyed traveling, eating delicious and sometimes exotic food. Elizabeth enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid runner and bike rider. She had a wonderful and contagious laugh along with a great sense of humor. She had the biggest heart and enjoyed gift giving and cooking for friends. Spending time with family and friends, especially around the holidays was some of her fondest memories. Elizabeth’s unwavering faith in her Savior was constant throughout her life.

She is preceded in death by her father Kenneth Dean Rodewald, grandparents Rhea and Anthony Cross, LaVerne and Ellen Rodewald. Survivors include her daughter Kylie Lorenzen and husband Eric, mother Carol Rodewald, brother Richard Rodewald, grandchildren Carter and Mya Lorenzen, niece Paige Rodewald, nephew Carter Rodewald, special friend Kevin Kuhlmann, as well as many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.

Rosary will be 9:00 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2021 with visitation to follow until time of service at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Missouri Valley, Iowa
