Visitation will be 5:00p.m~7:00p.m. Friday, February 7, 2025, at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa.
Celebration of Life will be 10:30a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Hennessey Funeral Home.

Eugene “Gene” Gayle Nuzum, the son of Ernest L. Nuzum and Erma A. (Harper) Nuzum was born on November 12, 1938, in Orson, Iowa passed away February 4, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska.
Gene grew up on the family farm near Pisgah, Iowa. He enjoyed driving around with family and hanging out with friends and getting into mischief. Gene enjoyed taking karate lessons with his sons and earned a black belt from those lessons.
Gene loved his western movies, some of his favorite cowboys were John Wayne, and Gene Autry. Gene’s career as a welder led him to many jobs with the last one being at P.K. Manufacturing.
Gene was married to Bonnie Seaton in 1966 in Pisgah, Iowa. To this union Stephany A. (Norton) Nuzum. Gene then married Karen M. Allen in 1972 in Missouri Valley, Iowa and to this union they had Chad E. Nuzum, Jeremy T. Nuzum, and Valerie S. (Daly) Nuzum.
Eugene is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and Karen M. Nuzum.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are siblings: Gary (Susie) Nuzum of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Dennis (Diane) Nuzum, Elaine (Jerry) Nielsen, Lonnie (Bonnie) Nuzum of Missouri Valley, Iowa. Children: Stephany (Robert) Norton of Park Hill, Oklahoma, Chad Nuzum of Onawa, Iowa, Jeremy Nuzum of Grand Island, Nebraska, Valerie (James) Daly of Arnold, Nebraska. Grandchildren: James Dalton Wolf Ford, Steven Wayne Charles Ford, and Kaitlyn Nicole Nuzum. Great-Grandchildren: Kyler, Anaiah, and Mariah.
