Fred W. Pettid

We gather here today to mourn the
loss and honor the life of Frederick William Pettid, a beloved husband, father,
grandfather, son, brother, and friend, who passed away on August 24, 2023, in
Mondamin, Iowa. Born on July 8, 1964, to Frederick and Billie Pettid, Fred led
a remarkable life filled with love, compassion, and dedication.
Fred was a devoted husband to his
wife, Andrea Pettid. The couple celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary,
demonstrating the strength and commitment they shared. Their love served as an
inspiration to all who knew them, and their bond was truly unbreakable.
Throughout their journey together,
Fred and Andi were blessed with five children. Each child brought immeasurable
joy into their lives along with love, laughter, and the occasional shenanigans.
These five brought endless laughter, headache, and happiness into his life.
Fred’s love, humor, and legacy will live on through each of them.
Fred loved his flowers, music,
cars, cooking, but boy did he love Halloween time when he could set up his
decorations that he would work on all year round.
Fred leaves behind his wife,
Andrea, son’s Damien (Nathali), Jordan (Brie); daughter’s Steavie, Alexis, Jae
(Brandon); Grandchildren Valentina, Micah, Braylee; his mother Billie; his
brothers Mike (Cathy), Jim (Jess), Charlie (Melissa), his sisters Debbie
(Pete), Nancy (Pat), Julie (John), Cathy (Paul). Also mourning him are many
nieces and nephews.
Fred was preceded in death by his
father Frederick and brother-in-law Pat.
Fred will forever be remembered as
a caring and supportive father, always willing to offer guidance and make light
of a situation. Fred, your laughter and pranks will forever be etched in our
memories. May you rest in peace, knowing that you spread joy and laughter to
everyone you encountered. We love you.
