Frederick P. “Fred” Frazier age 85, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Westmont Care Center in Logan, Iowa. Fred was born January 24, 1933 in Missouri Valley, Iowa to Wilbur and Verna (Egan) Frazier. Fred graduated from Missouri Valley High School, received his bachelor’s degree from Wayne State College and received two master’s degrees at UNO. He served his country in The United States Army during the Korean War from 1954 to 1956. Fred married Joyce Bilderback on August 29, 1959. He taught for the Job Corps for two years, then taught math in Council Bluffs at Thomas Edison for twenty years. Fred carried mail for the United States Postal Service for 34 years. He enjoyed coaching wrestling, playing tennis, fishing, gatherings of family and friends, and had a passion for Husker football.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joyce, daughter Julie, three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his children: Andel (Joanne) Frazier of Venice, Florida, Suzanne Kocher and husband Bruce of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Mark Frazier and wife Christina of Missouri Valley, Iowa, David Frazier of Boone, Iowa, five grandchildren, brother Jim Frazier of Chicago, Illinois, sister Ann Zottneck of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The family would like to invite everyone to the Eagles Club following the service at the funeral home.
Military Honors will be conducted by Julius F. Muller American Legion Post #337.
