Garland B. Hiles
Garland B. Hiles age 90 of Alma, Arkansas formerly of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018 at Peachtree Hospice Inpatient in Fort Smith Arkansas. Garland was born June 1, 1927 in Missouri Valley, Iowa to John E. and Laura L. (Blust) Hiles. Garland graduated from Missouri Valley High School. She worked as a cashier for Copper Kettle for twenty years, and also worked at Blue Star Foods in Council Bluffs, Iowa for eighteen years. Garland enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting, reading, watching westerns, traveling with her sister and yard work.
Garland is preceded in death by her parents, eight sisters and three brothers.
Garland is survived by her sister: Rosalie Hart and husband John of Winston Salem, North Carolina, brother: Dwight Hiles of Missouri, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Harrison County Humane Society.
