Glady’s funeral services will be held at the Missouri Valley Christian Church in Missouri Valley, Iowa on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 2:00 PM. Following services, she will be laid to rest at Oak Grove Cemetery in Missouri Valley.
After burial services. You are warmly invited to join us at the Twisted Tail Restaurant in BeeBeetown, Iowa at 4:30 as we continue to celebrate her life and the beautiful memories we shared.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gladys Diane Moore Engler Isom of Joshua, Texas on October 16, 2024, at the age of 83. Gladys was born on February 14, 1941, in California Junction, Iowa.
She was raised in Missouri Valley, Iowa and as a young woman, moved to Omaha, Nebraska where she raised her family for a short time before returning to her hometown Missouri Valley in 1975. In 2003, after raising 5 daughters, she and her husband packed up and set out for Texas where she joined 3 of her daughters and their families.
Gladys was known for her sharp intelligence, strong will, unwavering determination, and love and support for her family. She lit up any room she entered and made an impact on many people. Her colorful, stylish clothes, beautiful hair, and gorgeous fashion choices were her trademark. Her alluring sense of interior design in her home was breathtaking. She gardened with a wild heart, utilizing her triumphant spirit to proliferate life and beauty to her flowers, trees, and plants with incredible abundance.
Gladys was passionate about her love of the Lord and was a loyal servant of God. She devoured God’s word and prayed every day for her family and everyone else.
Gladys Diane Isom was a beloved great-grandmother, grandmother, mother, sister and wife during her incredible 83 years of life. She passed away with all five of her daughters around her on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
She is survived by her partner, Noelyn “Butch” Isom, and her daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews: Daughter Kim and Mike Taylor of Roswell, New Mexico and their children Emily, Myles, and Gillian Taylor, Daughter Dawn Engler of Clifton, Texas and her son Austin and Kaylee Temple and their children Jyace, Lydon, Fallon, and Farron, Holly Engler of Omaha, Nebraska and partner Todd Baber and her sons Brent and Brandon Bollinger and Cody Mallette, Gwen Moravec of Burleson, Texas and her daughters Kate and Molly Moravec, Bobbie Swinford of Whitney, Texas and her children Hayleigh and Luke Swinford, her brother Melvin Moore and wife Janie as well as nieces Stacey Pippett and Tara Cooper and nephews Scott Moore and David Raes.
She is preceded in death by her mother Verna Palmer, sister Joyce Maloney, and beloved brother Gene Moore.
