Hilda Irene (Anderson) Roach age 69, of Woodbine, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. Hilda was born March 23, 1954 in Omaha, Nebraska to Thomas and Mary (Kline) Anderson. Hilda attended Missouri Valley and Logan school systems. She worked in several local hospitals and nursing homes throughout her life.
Hilda especially loved camping, pontoon boat rides, and holiday cooking for gatherings with close friends and family members. Hilda married Paul Pierce and had two children, Paul and Julie. On March 11, 1977, Hilda married Robert Roach and they had two children, Nancy and Jonie.
Remaining to cherish Hilda’s memory are, spouse, Robert; children, Paul Pierce II (Theresa Lichtenberg), Julie Kinart (Phil), Nancy Bigelow (Mike), Jonie Brown; brothers, Thomas Anderson (Ann), Dale Anderson (Janet), sister, Sharon Brown (James); nieces, Laci Lynn, Jessica Brown, Josette Brown; and nephews, Tommy Anderson, Kenny Anderson, grandchildren, Alissa Pierce, Justin Kinart, Dillon Kinart, Nikki Maron, Natasha Colton, Jesse Maron, Baily Bigelow, Dalton Frink, Kameron Brown, and Kinze Brown, great grandchildren, Taitlyn Pierce, Raelyn Pierce-Harless, Kinzley Colton, Nevaeh Colton, and Bentley Colton.
Hilda was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Mary Anderson, brother Ernie Anderson.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Monday at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa
The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the Eagles Club following the burial.

So sorry to hear this. Such a great lady she was she will be missed dearly. Hilda helped me out so much when I was pregnant with Shelby Jean ,threw delivery(thank goodness for her ) and beyond . Spoiled little miss Shelby Jean – good times great people wonderful family. We still had giggles and stories last time I saw her. My heart is sad. Rest in piece mom aka Hilda
