Iris M. Rose Wiltse

Iris Marcille Jensen, daughter of Vernon A. and Eunice L. (Scheer) Jensen, was born at home on the farm east of Winnetoon, NE on August 18, 1941. Iris was baptized September 7, 1941 and was confirmed May 9, 1954 at Christ Lutheran Church, Creighton, NE. She attended country school and graduated from Creighton High School in May 1959. On January 17, 1960, Iris and Glen Rose were united in marriage at Christ Lutheran Church, Creighton. After they started their family, they moved to Seattle, WA. Iris had a loving, compassionate heart and enjoyed caring for people throughout her life. Because of this passion, she attended Northeast College and earned her Licensed Practical Nursing degree. Her career took her to the Omaha metropolitan area where she raised her family. Her hobbies included gardening, canning, and making wine. She loved animals especially cats. Iris loved spending time with her children, family, and friends.

On October 29, 1997, Iris and Gerald Wiltse were united in marriage and made their home in Modale, IA. Iris continued working until 2003 when she retired. Iris and Gerald enjoyed their country home, roller skating, dancing, and taking care of their cats. In August 2012 Iris became a resident at the Longview nursing home where she had previously worked lovingly caring for others. On Sunday, October 28, 2018, Iris entered her eternal rest, surrounded by her family.
