Dear Dad By Ryley Hoss
You never said I’m leaving, You never said goodbye. You were gone before I knew it, And only God knew why. A million times I needed you, A million times I cried. Hold my hand Dad, show me the way so I can go into the big world one day. Teach me the basics and let me learn, if I ever get stuck I’ll know where to turn. If love alone could have saved you, You NEVER would have died. In life I love you dearly, In death I love you still. It broke my heart to lose you, But you didn’t go alone, For part of me went with you when God took you home. Show me the sunshine and set me free, To be the brilliant woman you wanted me to be. I seen your hard work, The hours you put in, Rough hands, body shook. I got you Dad, Until the day I run out. Close to the heavens above, I love you Dad
