Kenneth E. Moore

Kenneth Eugene Moore age 86, of Logan, Iowa passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Kenneth was born January 13, 1933 in Mondamin, Iowa to Raymond and Faye Esther (Thomas) Moore. He graduated from West Harrison High School. He served in the United States Air Force and retired from the Air Force. Kenneth married Kiyoko October 16, 1957 in Japan. After he retired, he farmed the Mondamin area for many years. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, wife Kiyoko, sons, Joe and Yas Moore.

Kenneth is survived by his sons, Mike Moore and wife Jennifer of Elkhorn, Nebraska, Tom Moore and wife Patricia of Cleveland, Tennessee, nine grandchildren and one great grandson, sisters, Dorothy Whitmore of Logan, Iowa, Katherine Hake of Stromsburg, Nebraska, brothers Robert Moore of Logan, Iowa, Curtis Moore of Sioux City, Iowa and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa.

The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the church following the committal service at the cemetery.

Military Honors will be conducted by The United States Air Force.

    I am sorry to hear of the passing of “Brother Moore.” He was a great family friend with a heart of gold. I am grateful to have known him, and will always think of him with his warm smile and his simple words of wisdom. May the family find warmth and comfort knowing that Ken has influenced many lives for good.
