Lesa Ann Chambers age 65, of Missouri Valley, Iowa went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Lesa was born February 13, 1957 in Omaha, Nebraska to Hugh Crosby and Betty Lou Woody in Omaha, Nebraska. She grew up in Missouri Valley, Iowa most her life, and she went to Missouri Valley Schools. Lesa married David E. Chambers on April 29, 1974. From this union two children were born, LaVern D. Chambers and Lena A. Chambers. Lesa worked with food most of her life. She worked at Tamarack Bowling Alley, Sunnyside Cafe, and Longview Nursing Home. Retiring from Longview as Head Cook. She loved spending time with her dogs, her best friend of 55 years Phyllis Karlin and her grandchildren Triston Chambers and Jazmyn Vaughn. She loved the outdoors and plants, family get togethers, the color Purple, going to the movies.

Lesa was preceded in death by her parents, sister Kim, aunts and uncles.

Survivors include her husband David E. Chambers of 48 years of Missouri Valley, Iowa, son LaVern D. Chambers and daughter Lena A. Chambers, grandchildren Triston Chambers and Jazmyn Vaughn, sister Elizabeth Fox, brother Sean Crosby, Best Friend, Phyllis Karlin, all of Missouri Valley, Iowa, nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends, and her dogs Reggie and Oliver.

The family invites everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the church following the committal service at the cemetery.

    I am so very sorry to hear of Lesa’s passing. I always enjoyed working with her at Longview. I can still hear her laugh and see her smile.
