Margaret Evelyn (Hannah) Gross, age 86, of Logan, Iowa passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Evelyn was born October 9, 1926 in Oakland, Iowa to Glenn Arthur and Mary Evelyn (Apt) Hannah. She graduated from Oakland High School in 1944. She married Robert Edwin Allen in August of 1944. To this union two children were born, Pamela Kay and Bruce Robert. When her children were in high school she attended Barnes Beauty College in Council Bluffs. In 1966 she opened her own beauty shop, Shear Magic, in Harlan, Iowa. She moved to Omaha in 1969. In 1970, she married L. Gordon Gross. This made her the M.O.S. of two beautiful daughters, Franki McIntyre and Sandi Martin, and she became grandmother of six. After she married Gordon, she was able to pursue her many hobbies. She loved painting, sewing for her grandchildren, cooking, entertaining, and yard work. She also loved the many dogs she had over the years. Survivors include her daughter: Pamela Coleman and husband James of Berthoud, Colorado; son; Bruce Allen and wife Janice of Logan, Iowa; stepdaughters: Franki McIntyre and husband Ron of Fountain Valley, California; Sandi Martin of Omaha, Nebraska; twenty grandchildren; and many, many great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Mary Evelyn (Apt) Hannah, husband Gordon, sister Marjorie Budd. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the Christian Church Center before the committal service.
