Max Leroy Dungan

Max Leroy Dungan age 69, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away Monday October 8, 2012 at his residence in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Max was born January 31, 1943 in Logan, Iowa to Abe and Mildred Lorena (Thomas) Dungan. Max graduated from Logan-Magnolia High School in May of 1961. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked in Omaha, Nebraska for a number of years before going to work for Bob Anderson’s Ford dealership before retiring. Max was an avid reader and was always searching for new things to learn, he spent many hours at the library. He also enjoyed photography and entered many photographs in the county fair. Max enjoyed living at Culavin Heights and helping out wherever he could, he also enjoyed the fellowship with the residents there. He will be missed by family and friends. Max is preceded in death by; parents, Abe and Mildred Dungan, brothers: Duane Dungan; sister in law; Peg of Clio, Iowa; John Dungan of Panora, Iowa. Max is survived by: sisters; Doris Sorick and husband Jerry of Logan, Iowa, Carol Daigh of Chattanooga, Tennessee, sister in law Shirley Dungan of Panora, Iowa, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
