Michael Jon Lanctot

Michael Lanctot age 76, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Michael Jon Lanctot was born in Sioux City, Iowa on July 5th, 1946. He was raised by his mother Helene Hughes and step-father Lyle. He graduated from Riverside High School enlisted in the Navy with Honorable Discharge in 1971. He graduated from Briar Cliff College with a degree in Chemistry and continued his education at the University of Minnesota earning a graduate degree in Public Health Care Administration. He dedicated his career to assisting others in multiple health care settings for the next 40 years. Michael married Susan Smith in Sioux City, Iowa on April 14th, 1973. Michael was a loving father to his two children always supporting them in their endeavors. He was an educator at heart always researching and teaching his children. He was an avid sports fan never giving up hope in his beloved Minnesota Vikings. Aways present at Missouri Valley, Iowa sporting and school events through the years. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones.

Michael is survived by his wife, Susan; his daughter Maria Roden and her husband William, their three children Adison, Thomas & Josephine. His son Matthew, Nelly and their two children Aiden & Fernando.

He is preceded in death by his brothers Paul Lanctot & Rick Hughes; and his parents.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Sunday, at St. Paul Lutheran Church
