Milton Larry Jensen was born January 6, 1941, to Harlan and Bonnie (Walls) Jensen. Larry passed away peacefully in his home at Harmony Court in Council Bluffs, Iowa at the age of 82, on Thursday, November 16, 2023.
Larry was married to Carolyn Jensen (Smith) for 36 years, until her passing in 2020.
Larry, born and raised in Missouri Valley. He attended MVHS and graduated in 1959, he then enrolled into Iowa Western Community College for two years.
Larry played basketball and football in high school and loved watching his children play sports as well. He worked for the telephone company as a computer programmer for over 25 years. He loved going to auctions and selling items on eBay. He became quite knowledgeable about antiques and collectibles. He enjoyed playing pool with family and friends. He was quite the pool player. He also enjoyed playing scrabble with family.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, wife Carolyn Jensen, son Bryan Jensen and three brothers: Tommy Jensen, Rodney Jensen, and Randy Jensen.
Larry is survived by his children: Larry David Jensen (Laura), Dee Anna Jensen and Debra Fitzgibbon including several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is also survived by one sister Judy Pleak (Charles) and sisters-in-law: Linda Jensen (Tommy), Carolyn Jensen (Rodney), Susan Jensen (Randy), Cindy Munden (Terry) and Cheryl Smith.
Larry was very sociable, made friends easily and was loved by everyone.
Celebration of Life will be held Monday, November 20, 2023, from 5pm-7pm at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Charles Pleak will speak at 6pm.

so sorry for your loss of Larry ! we we’re classmates most of our lives. we played sports for many years. and i got to know his whole family by carrying the newspaper to his house for many years ,to. sorry I will have to miss his services since I live here in Renton, WA. wish his family the best of luck and our prayers go out his families! God bless he is in a better place now!
