A Life Celebration will be held on May 7th at 6 pm at the Eagles Club in Missouri Valley.
Monte Aaron Smallwood passed away on April 24th, 2025, after having a heart attack and stents.
Born on November 26, 1962, to Chuck and Dorothy Smallwood.
Monte graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1981.
He has worked a number of jobs over the years from food, box company to construction. He loved music and hanging out with family and friends. He was known for a great smile.
Monte is preceded in death by his Dad Charles Smallwood Sr, Mom Dorothy Andersen, Grandparents Joe and Elizebeth Harris and Ernie & Mable Smallwood, Uncle Tom Smallwood, Aunt Betty Harris, Brother-In-Laws Tom Kiminski and Jerry Gibson.
He is survived by his Daughter Brittany (Katy) Presley and Grandson Carson Beetle. Dad Dean Andersen. Brother Charles Smallwood JR & wife Ravae. Sisters Michelle Gibson and Darla Kiminski. Uncles Don Harris and Dave (Cindy) Smallwood. Aunts Marilyn Harris, Candy Horn and Sharon Smallwood. Nieces Nicholle, Tiffany, Trisha, Dani, Amanda. Nephews Jeremy, Nick, Cody and Colton. Great Nieces and Nephews Dalton (Natalie) BreeAnna, Selah, Caitlin and Varya. Great Great Nephew Oliver. Lots of Cousins. Special Sister Dina Speicher and Brother Kirk Andersen. Special Family Linda, Wally and the Meadows Family.

Sympathies to his family. I’m glad I visited with him early the day he passed. We worked together at McDonald’s long time ago. He was a great guy.
