Paul Lane Jr.

Paul Leo Lane Jr. age 72, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Paul was born April 8, 1948 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Paul Sr. and Leta (Petersen) Lane. Paul went to St. Patrick’s Catholic grade school and graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1966. He went Wayne State College got a degree in Business in 1970. Paul worked for Social Security Administration for over twenty-seven years retiring in 2004. He enjoyed going to the fair, he was inducted into the 4-H Hall of Fame in 2014, he loved going to Missouri Valley High School and going to all the sporting events at home and away games.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his sister Loretta Harder and husband Louie of Hancock, Iowa, nephew Dr. Michael Harder and wife Angie, niece Melissa Peters and husband Lee, and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa.

    I have so many memories of paul and you as 4-H members in Harrison County. Paul spent a week of vacation at the fair every year for over 20 years. He believed in the value of 4-H for young people..RIP my good friend.

    I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Paul. We were good friend in 4-H in Harrison County many for many years. I am happy to see that he was inducted into the 4-H Hall of Fame…he deserves it!! Thoughts and prayers for Paul and his friends and loved ones in his loss.
