Richard L. “Dick” Burbridge age 71, of Woodbine, Iowa passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Richard was born June 10, 1945 in Pisgah, Iowa to Jack and Hilda (Voss) Burbridge. Richard graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1963. He was employed at Griffith Repair until 1985 and he went to work for John Deere. He retired from John Deere and went to work at Agland in Woodbine part time. Richard married Marjorie Stevens September 15, 1973. He enjoyed making birdhouses and repairing lawn mowers.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, daughters: Melanie Kay and Kayla Marie, brother: John, sister: Maxine.
Survivors include his wife Marjorie of Woodbine, Iowa, sons: Bradley and wife Carol of Mondamin, Iowa, Lynn and wife April of Yakima, Washington, Joshua of Woodbine, Iowa, Cody of Woodbine, Iowa, Matthew and Nikie of Woodbine, Iowa, Richard and wife Lori of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Tim and Brigid of Omaha, Nebraska, daughter: Wendy of Omaha, Nebraska, grandchildren and one great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Missouri Valley, Iowa.
Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the church with Pastor Ray Smith officiating.
Music selections (Elvis Presley CD) will be Amazing Grace, In The Garden, Take My Hand, Precious Lord and How Great Thou Art,
The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the Mondamin Community Center following the service.
