Thelma I. Nichols age, 96 of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. . Thelma was born April 19, 1922 in Appleton, Minnesota to John R. and Ethel Jane (Woodward) Reeves. Thelma married Raymond W. Nichols September 18, 1940 in Henry, South Dakota, he passed away August 28, 1980. She moved to Culavin Heights in Missouri Valley, Iowa in 1992, then later went into Longview Nursing Home. Thelma enjoyed embroidering, her family and seeing her grandchildren. Thelma is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond W. Nichols, son, Raymond L. Nichols, daughter in law: Sharone Nichols, daughter, Sylvia Rodden, parents, brothers: Edgar Kingsley, Minor Kingsley, Albert Reeves, sisters, Dorothy Holmes, Ruby Reese. Survivors include her children: Robert J. Nichols and wife Sandy of Spearfish, South Dakota, JoAnn Nichols of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Jane Mitera and husband Mick of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Susan Armagost and husband Melvin of Marble Falls, Texas, ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship to the Eagles Club following the committal service at the cemetery.
