Bernard Ralph Rageth, age 96, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Bernard was born February 20, 1919 in Missouri Valley, Iowa to Nicklos and Stella (Bates) Rageth. Bernard served in the Army during WWII. On February 7, 1942 Bernard married Loraine Stephens in Waynesville, Missouri and they farmed the Logan area for many years. Loraine passed away October 27, 2005. Bernard enjoyed gardening, farming, and livestock. Bernard is preceded in death by his parents Nicklos and Stella (Bates) Rageth, wife Loraine Rageth, brothers; Jake, John, Clarence and Albert, sisters; Verna and Margaret. Bernard is survived by his daughters Phyllis Hemphill of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Patsy Rageth of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Bernice (Bob) Stewart of Omaha, Nebraska, son Mike and Denise Rageth of Missouri Valley, Iowa, 11 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa.
