Fredrick Rick C. Rife, age 67, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away on Friday August, 16, 2013 at Longview Care Center in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Rick was born March 2, 1946 in River Sioux, Iowa to Fredrick Sr. and Amy (Haynie) Rife. Rick spent his childhood in River Sioux, Iowa and a majority of his life in Sioux City, Iowa. He enjoyed riding Harley Motorcycles. Rick was preceded in death by his mother Amy, and parents Fredrick and stepmother Annie. Survivors include his daughter: Deanna Briggs and husband Russell of Walt Hill, Nebraska; sons: Kelly Bothwell of Moorhead, Iowa; Jack Rife of Decatur, Nebraska; sisters: Rhonda Marshall and husband Steven of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Robyn Mills and husband Jeff of Omaha, Nebraska; Shelly Foland and husband Kevin of Omaha, Nebraska; Reynie Schaefer and husband Rick of Fremont, Nebraska; five grandchildren, one great grandchild, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 pm until -7:00 p.m. at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa.
