Herbert H. Booher

Herbert Howard Neal Booher age, 59 of Mondamin, Iowa passed away Monday, November 5, 2012 at his home in Mondamin. Herbert was born July 15, 1953 in Mondamin, Iowa to Emmett and Elizabeth L. (Swanger) Booher. Herbert graduated from Missouri Valley High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force. After retiring from the Air Force he worked for Westmont Care Center in Logan, Iowa where he was a maintenance supervisor for three years. He loved to work on cars, do carpentry work and wood working. He also loved to help his grandchildren fix and maintain their toys which usually required a new set of batteries. Herbert was preceded in death by his step son, Michael Hardy. Survivors include his wife: Patty Booher of Mondamin, Iowa; sons: Brian Hardy of Denver, Colorado and Richard Hardy and wife Melissa of Mondamin, Iowa; daughters: Susan Fields and significant other Shawn of Sioux City, Iowa, Nina (Booher) Ellison of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Megan Craig of Saint Joseph, Missouri and Macy Craig of Pisgah, Iowa; grandsons: Nicholas Hardy of Mondamin, Iowa, and Barret Fields of Logan, Iowa; granddaughters: Makayla Hardy of Mondamin, Iowa and Allie Fields of Logan, Iowa; brothers: Joe Booher and wife Gerry of St. Louis, Missouri and Emmett Booher of Missouri Valley, Iowa; sisters: Helen Williams of St. Louis, Missouri, Darlene Walker of St. Louis, Missouri and Carol Clark of Haxtun, Colorado; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.at Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the Community Center in Mondamin, Iowa after the service.
