L. Geraldine Edmonds age 89 of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020. Geraldine was born January 25, 1931 in Mondamin, Iowa to Lloyd and Bertha (Ashlock) Polen. She graduated from High School and went to UNO College for a teaching degree. Geraldine taught at Blencoe, and Pisgah, Iowa and St. Richards in Omaha, Nebraska. Geraldine was a teacher for over thirty-five years. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and teaching.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband Byron, sister Beatrice and brother John Polen.
Survivors include her children Barbara Nielsen and husband Michael of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Raymond Edmonds of Omaha, Nebraska, eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 5, 2020 at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa with burial immediately following at Soldier Valley Cemetery in Pisgah, Iowa.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your mother, grandmother, and good friend to all who knew her, Geraldine. She and Byron were quite the pair. They both were an important part of the Pisgah community, After Byron passed, Geraldine continued to be very active in many ways in the Pisgah community and the surrounding area.
