Robert “Bob” Roach passed away unexpectedly/peacefully in Dunlap Specialty Care on Friday, August 9, 2024, in Dunlap, IA at the age of 71.
Robert was born on July 24, 1953, in Pacific Junction, IA to Hershel and Odetta (Cleaver) Roach. Robert married Hilda Pierce (Anderson) on March 11, 1977.
Robert worked at the Grain Elevator in Missouri Valley, IA and Schummer Rock query until it was bought out by Schildberg Construction company until he retired.
Robert enjoyed playing on dart leagues, camping, pontoon boat rides, watching Iowa Hawkeye football, and gatherings with close friends and family members.
Robert is survived by children, Paul Pierce II (Theresa Lichtenberg), Julie Kinart (Phil), Nancy Bigelow (Mike), Jonie Brown (Kasey Voogt), Toy Poodle dog “Teddy Bear”; grandchildren, Alissa Harless (Pierce), Justin Kinart, Dillon Kinart, Niki Maron, Natasha Colton, Jesse Maron, Dalton Frink, Kameron Brown, Kinze Brown, Baily Bigelow, Karter Voogt, and Kohen Voogt; great grandchildren, Taitlyn Pierce, Raelyn Pierce-Harless, Kinzley Colton, Navaeh Colton and Bentley Colton; siblings, Hershel Roach II, Terry Roach (Roxanne), Jeff Roach, Debby Roach, Bert Roach (Candy), Jimmy Roach, Shari Coddington (John) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his wife Hilda Roach, parents, Hershel and Odetta (Cleaver) Roach, parents-in-law Thomas and Mary (Kline) Anderson, sister-in-law Barbara “Barb” Ann Roach, brother-in-law Ernie Anderson.
The family would like to thank the Dunlap Specialty Care staff and HillCrest Hospice staff for Robert’s care.

- Visitation will be 10:00a.m.~11:00a.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Hennessey Funeral Home.
- Funeral service will follow at 11:00a.m.
- The family would like to invite everyone to the Eagle’s Club for a time of lunch and fellowship.
