A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Hennessey Funeral Home, located at 310 E Huron St, Missouri Valley, IA 51555.
A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 6:00 PM at the same location. All are invited to gather afterward at The Twisted Tail Restaurant in Beebeetown to share stories and remember Todd in the way he would’ve wanted with laughter, music, and community.
Todd Donovan Baber, age 61, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025, at Methodist Hospital with his wife by his side. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Todd lived a life full of dedication, adventure, and laughter that touched everyone who knew him.
A graduate of Missouri Valley High School, Todd began his career as the owner of a local gas station in Missouri Valley before founding Baber Appraisals, a business he poured his heart into for many years. His commitment to his community ran deep. Todd proudly served on the Missouri Valley Fire and Rescue Department from 1988 to 2001, where he was Fire Chief from 1996 to 2001 and was honored as EMT of the Year in 1995.
Todd was a man of vibrant passions. He loved the open road, often traveling on his Harley making unforgettable memories with his many friends. Whether he was listening to his favorite bands or cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events, he always showed up with a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that was undeniably contagious.
Todd is survived by his loving wife, Holly Baber, and his children son Ryan Baber (Dana) and grandchildren Kayden, Kolby, and Kyler, daughters Chloe Killpack (Grady) and grandchildren Alba, Michael, and Benjamin, Mallory Bluml (Tucker) and grandson John Brooks. Holly’s sons: Brent and Brandon Bollinger, and Cody Mallette.
He is also lovingly remembered by his parents, Janet Andersen (William), Larry Baber (Lynn), and brother Doane Baber (Rebecca) and family and by his friends and chosen family, Jeff and Danya Anderson.
Todd’s legacy lives on in every life he touched and every road yet to be traveled.
